Snow/Trail Conditions

***NEW SNOW ON THE IRON TRAIL***

The Iron Trail area receive 3″ of fresh snowfall yesterday (Thursday, February 9).

UPDATED SNOWMOBILE TRAIL CONDITIONS

Currently, the Iron Trail area has approximately 15-17″ of snow.   Trail conditions are GOOD with at least a 2-4″ packed base.

Taconite State Trail
Condition: Good.  Trail base 2-4″.  The entire trail is open and in good condition with a few short exceptions where grooming tractors still cannot be safely operated. The trail was last groomed Thursday, February 9th and will be groomed again this weekend. Please use caution on the trails; watching for icy spots and open flowages. Logging activity is occurring in a few places along the trail. Please pay attention to signs on the trail and use extra caution around logging operations.

Arrowhead State Trail
Condition: Good.  Trail base 2-4″. The entire trail is open and in good condition with a few short exceptions where grooming tractors still cannot be safely operated. The trail was last groomed Wednesday, February 8th and will be groomed again this weekend. Please use caution on the trails; watching for icy spots and open flowages. Logging activity is occurring in a few places along the trail. Please pay attention to signs on the trail and use extra caution around logging operations.

Downhill Skiing at Giants Ridge Golf & Ski Resort
24 – 44″ on a meticulously groomed base  – 100% open. 

Giants Ridge Hours of Operation :
January 2 – March 12:  9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Feb 20:  9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
March 12 – April 2:  9 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
