Red Dot Trail

Red Dot Trail is located about an hour east of the Iron Range OHV Recreation Area on the Superior National Forest Scenic Byway by Silver Bay and has almost 27 miles of diverse trails close to the Sawtooth Mountain Range. The trail connects the town of Beaver Bay and Silver Bay and runs through the Tettegouche State Park. This trail has been developed by a local ATV club, the DNR and Lake County. Excellent fall color viewing route and great wildlife and birding possibilities.

The trail is open from May 15 to November 1.

Directions:

  • Beaver Bay – Trailhead is located on north side of Hwy. 4, 1/2 mile west of State Hwy. 61.
  • Silver Bay – Off Hwy. 5 on west side of town.
