Snowboarding

Bust Some Sick Tricks!

The Giants Ridge terrain park is Minnesota snowboarding at its absolute BEST. The Giants Ridge terrain park features an 85-foot Big Air, a 50-foot table and two 30-foot tables.  The rail park portion of the terrain park features a rainbow, battleship, two kinks, “S” rails and 10 more jibs.  New for 2005-2006, will be a 300-foot quarter-pipe and 150-foot beginners pipe.  Plus, with the kickin’ sound system, riders will find the Giants Ridge terrain park THE place to hang this winter.

Never tried boarding? No problem. Take a lesson from the experienced ski/board instructors at Giants Ridge and rent everything you need right at the Giants Ridge Rental Shop. You’ll be catching serious air before you know it.

With over 100 inches of average snowfall, it’s easy to see why northeastern Minnesota is home to the most popular terrain park in the Midwest. Giants Ridge hosts many state and regional snowboarding events each year.

Ski-in, ski-out lodging is available on site. Board rental is also available on site. Several area lodging properties offer “Sleep & Ski” specials and packages. Giants Ridge normally opens the day after Thanksgiving and closes the first weekend in April, weather dependent. We invite you and your group to grab your skis and boards and discover why northeastern Minnesota is “A Great Way to Getaway!”
